How it works

01

Follow your app

Paste its link once. Tracked keywords belong to an app, so a position always means yours.

02

Add phrases, or take them from a report

Type them, or press Track on any row of a competitor's report. One per store.

03

Read the line every morning

At 07:00 UTC every phrase is searched again. Today, yesterday, best, and the sparkline. A ✕ stops tracking.

One read, shared

A phrase in a store is searched once a day whoever tracks it, and every app that tracks it gets its position from the same page. That is why it is cheap enough to be free.

Movement you can attribute

The algorithm-changes page tells you whether the whole store moved that morning. If it did not, the move is yours or a competitor's.

Straight into the listing

Tracked keywords appear as one-click chips in the App Store Connect editor, beside the 100-character counter.

App Store keyword rank tracker, in practice

Reading a competitor tells you which phrases are worth having. Tracking tells you whether you have them. The My keywords page keeps a list of phrases per app and per storefront, and every morning at 07:00 UTC each phrase is searched in its store and your position in the top 50 is written down, together with Apple's popularity for the phrase and the first-page difficulty that day. The table shows today, yesterday, the movement between them, the best position in the window, and a small line of the history.

The list is built from the product, not from typing. Every row of a competitor's report has a Track button; the keyword page has one too; and the assistant can add phrases when you ask. A phrase is stored once per store, so if three accounts track "send large files" in Germany it is searched once and each gets its own app's position. That sharing is what makes daily tracking affordable at 7 phrases free and 300 on Pro.

A position that dropped overnight has two possible causes, and the difference matters before you touch anything. The algorithm-changes page answers it: it measures how much of everything we watch moved that morning. On a calm day, a drop is yours or a competitor's. On a shaken day, wait a morning. Free keeps 5 days of history on screen, Track 30, Pro 90, Studio a year.

Questions

How many keywords can I track?
7 on the free plan, 50 on Track, 300 on Pro, 1,000 on Studio, across any of your apps and stores.
Which stores?
Any of the 22 storefronts. A phrase is tracked per store, because positions differ per store.
Is popularity tracked too?
Yes: Apple's popularity and the first-page difficulty are recorded with each day's position. Phrases under Apple's floor get an autocomplete-based estimate, labelled as such.
