We build FileFast. We read WeTransfer with this tool and found phrases it ranks first page for that FileFast does not rank for at all. The ones marked hidden appear nowhere in WeTransfer's name or subtitle: they live in its keyword field. A dash means FileFast is not in the top 50. US store, 2026-09-09.

How it works

01

Paste the competitor

A name, an App Store link or an id. Pick the store where you compete and the listing language to read.

02

Two minutes of live reads

The listing is split into candidate phrases, each is searched in the store, and the ones the competitor ranks for stay. Then Apple's popularity for the survivors.

03

Take what you are missing

Sort by opportunity, see which phrases are hidden in the keyword field, track the ones you want, put the winners in your own listing.

Start from the listing, not a guess

The phrases come from the competitor's own name, subtitle and description, plus Apple's search hints on the strongest words.

Only what ranks makes the table

Each phrase is searched in the live store. If the competitor is not in the top 50, the phrase is dropped: you see what works, not what was tried.

Hidden field, inferred

A phrase that ranks although it is in neither name nor subtitle must be in the 100-character keyword field. Those are the ones worth copying.

ASO competitor analysis, in practice

The fastest way to find keywords is not to brainstorm them. It is to read the app that already ranks above you. Its name and subtitle are public; its keyword field is not, but the store indexes it, and a phrase it ranks for that appears in neither visible field can only have come from there. aso.best reads the listing in the language you choose, builds candidate phrases from it (word n-grams, plus Apple's own search hints on the strongest words), and searches each candidate in the storefront you picked. Only phrases where the competitor is in the top 50 make the table.

The report is a table you can act on: phrase, Apple's popularity, first-page difficulty, the competitor's position, and a pill that says whether the phrase is in the name, the subtitle, or hidden. An opportunity column ranks the rows by demand against difficulty. Sign in and the same table shows your own position beside the competitor's, so the gaps are the rows where you are absent. Every phrase links to its keyword page, and every keyword page links back to the apps that rank for it.

A run costs Apple calls, which is why it is metered: 3 a month on one competitor free and on Track, 100 a month across any competitors on Pro, 300 on Studio. A report is kept seven days and served instantly to anyone who asks for the same app in the same store, so reading a well-known competitor is usually free of waiting. The assistant can run the same read for you and answer questions about it in the chat.

How fresh is a report?
